Welcome to the Mount Joy Lions Swim Team website!

We are a summer league swim team that swims in the Lancaster County Summer Swim League. The league is made up of 24 teams from throughout Lancaster County. The league is split into four divisions, with 6 teams in each division. Our regular season consists of 5 dual meets vs. each team in our division, with invitational meets (DOWNLOAD DETAILS) sprinkled in throughout. Following the conclusion of the dual meet season each division has their respective Divisional Championship meet, and at the end of the season all 24 teams get together for the County Championships.

The past five years at Mount Joy we have experienced tremendous success. In 2002 we had the smallest team in the league with 52 kids, but we placed 1st at the Division II Championship meet and 6th and the County Championships. 2003 saw more success as we grew to about 80 kids and placed 4th at the Division II Championship meet and 4th at the County Championships, losing there only to perennial powerhouses Overlook, Woodridge, and Manheim. The 2004 summer season was again a major success, as we went 6-1 in dual meets, losing only to powerful Eden Manor by 5 points. Again we placed 4th at the County Championships, securing a place as one of the top teams in the league. The 2005 season was up to that point the most successful season in Mount Joy Swim Team history. Again we went 6-1 in the dual meet season, this time winning the Division II Dual Meet Title by 5 points in a pressure packed victory over Skyline. Winning Division II allowed us the opportunity to move up to Division I in 2006 to swim against the biggest and best teams in the league. Continuing to build on our success, we had easily the best season in Mount Joy Swimming history last summer as we increased our roster to 93 swimmers, tied for 2nd in Division I with a 5-2 dual meet record, and then proceeded to do the unthinkable as we placed 2nd only to Overlook at the County Championship meet. We broke 23 team or pool records and our 8-under girls 100 meter freestyle relay set an all time Lancaster County Summer Swim League record! Feel free to browse our site! Our schedule is posted, and our dual meets start at 6:15 PM. Come out and support the Lions!!!!
